What is Flexibility Training?
Mobility training, also known as flexibility training, involves exercises and practices aimed at improving the range of motion of muscles and joints, enhancing overall mobility, and reducing the risk of injury. It typically focuses on stretching and lengthening muscles to increase their elasticity and improve joint function. Flexibility training is most effective when incorporated consistently, ideally as part of a balanced fitness routine that includes strength and cardiovascular training.
Typical flexibility exercises, which are also used in functional training, include stretching exercises, stretching techniques and mobility exercises. These aim to relax the muscles, mobilise the joints and increase flexibility.
